2000 clips online

great job. i would love to have 5000 clips up, but im going much much slower.

Having large numbers of shots is an effective approach. But there's something to be said about all the effort it takes to render, keyword, categorize and upload huge numbers of shots.

Another approach to consider is to have fewer clips, but keep the quality very high. Personally I've found that only a relatively small number of my best shots will sell with any regularity. For instance, my top 14 shots grossed 50% of my clip sales on Pond5 last year. For me it's not been mass quantities but rather repeat sales that are generating the most income.

1) Quality
2) As Andy said, diversity in your portfolio.
3) Have as many zombies in your productions as possible. They are an untapped resource.

Personally, I think you can have 2000 clips and make a good bit of money. Or you can have 500 high quality / production value clips and make the same or more.
Depends on your creativity and quality over the guy with the larger portfolio.

I'd say go with your strongest skill set. If you excel at tagging, labeling, keywording and all-around archiving of stock footage, then by all means the mass quantity route is a good way to go.

But if you're a nit-picker artist type that loses sleep over the quality of the image, then spend the time to get that shot just right. Either way, you're going to spend the time. This is not an easy way to make a living, it's a matter of choosing what you enjoy the most and go with that. Hence the old adage: "If you do what you love, you'll never work a day in your life".

and now 5000 clips online :-) almost without the same videos in various sizes ... otherwise it would be nearly 10,000 more online videos "LOL"

i`m getting close to 6000, next goal is 10 000 by the end of the year :)

More fractals?

I realy don`t think that buyers want more of fractals here, you have more than 10 000 files and only 17 sales, don`t you see that you should try to create something else? Looking at how much clips you have and little number of sales, for me it`s obvious that uploading more of the same things here you will not earn a lot of money, no matter if you will have 10 000 fractals or 100 000.
