HD 720p is still a very used format especialoy for Super Slow Motion cameras, getting rid of it is not a good thing. Most broadcast is sending a 720p image instead of 1080p to homes in bundled cable. Some of my best selling slow mo clips are 720p at several thousand fps.

CRAZY to delete or even reduce priority on clips that haven't sold for any amount of time. Dumb. First it takes longer than six months to even get a Google priority for searches. Second P5 delete a large number of clips in 2018 of low or non-sold clips. Made no difference other than reduced individual sales. P5 used to and maybe still does auto convert to SD so makes no sense again. Anyone who thinks eliminating clips other than poor technical quality clips is new to the industry. Spam is the biggest problem not SD type clips.

I sold a clip yesterday for its first time, which was over four years old. There are bound to be subjects which have less demand than others, but many will eventually find a buyer. To delete clips after a specified unsold time is just daft.

No No... you're all wrong.

P5 should delete all 420 Video

New Standards:

Pro Camcorders Native 422 Only - Cameras Full-frame only 422+

CG - PRORES 4444

Anything else is race to the bottom.

A quick Google search of Pond5 decreased sales lead me to this thread. I'm not a big forum poster, but I figured I could at least chime in to say that my sales have been decreasing as well. I've been in the stock game for quite a long time, and it seems obvious that something is going on. I might also add that the whole exclusivity thing is really dumb. The original concept of splitting the earnings 50/50 with ALL CONTRIBUTORS is what brought me here in the first place. In this climate, anyone who opts for exclusivity should have their head examined. In any event, I'm still making decent money from my clips... just not from Pond5. I'll keep my clips here, but it looks like they are currently dying a slow death. Way to go, who ever is making the business decisions here.
