I'm also not getting how Global_Focus is getting HDR out of the 7D in realtime...? Assuming there's no new HDR Magic Lantern hack for the 7D I don't know about I would imagine using some standard compositing techniques with multiple passes....

Didn't see much of a dynamic range in that video using theg 5D/Magic Lantern.

I have to agree. Look forward to seeing the black magic cinema camera, but not sure if I would buy it due to the massive lens cropping thing.

@Jason - Agreed. There are better samples to be found online. I've seen some decent ones on Vimeo showing indoor lighting without the typical blown out windows.

@Physics - I'm with you on that one. The only real benefit with that sensor size would be extreme telephoto where I wouldn't have to buy a $10,000 lens to get the equivalent of a 500mm field of view. Perhaps worth it in the long term just for that (but as a compliment to another camera)?

@Physics and @modernPrimitiveStockVideo - apologies. Been away on shoot for the past few weeks and have had zero internet connectivity.

Absolutely correct - multiple passes in realtime. Nothing beats the 4K still image though. Just a pain with three passes that have to be HDR'd. I'm sure there will be quicker ways to come...

@Global_Focus: How did you pull off realtime HDR on the 7D since Magic Lantern isn't available for it (or were you using the 5D or T2i or other camera)?
