I wonder what P5 is thinking on this subject? Any move must happen soon before the 4K portfolio gets too big.

All I can say is that I have had some pretty darn good success at selling 4K up to $400+ on some clips. Of course there are additional factors I take into consideration such as how dangerous was the shot (lightning storms), how unique was the shot (lightning storms over Monument Valley) and many other aspects as well. I am sure there are many unique opportunities out there. One just needs to find them. :)

Content will always help, but even generic stuff will sell. Ducks in 4k WILL sell :-). Especially at the beginning when the tv sellers need content to show off those tv's, and everyone loves ducks on a screen.

+1 on raising all minimum prices especially on 4k.
Except for duck, geese and swan shots those should be locked in at $5.00 (;

I support the idea. I'm thinking of buying the GH4 and $80 should be the minimum for 4K clips.

Hey there were some geese and duck footage that sold for well over $100 this week ;)

I sold bird footage for $399 (I spent almost one month in this location), and it is just a full HD. Why undercut all other artists by throat-cut yourself, and damage the industry like the $1 download stock photo.
When all CEO cut 90% of their salary and Bonus. May be we can consider tightening our belt?
Ultra HD should be at least $200, and not less. Shutterstock is correct for their 4K price policy, so artists can survive and pay back their new camera, computer and software. Hardware and software producers are unlikely to cut their throat for us cheap artists.
I saw artist who sells his excellent FHD for $150 or 200, which are healthy for them and the industry. When most of you guys dumping your footages for penny then most of us should look for another job or ask social welfare?
Sorry for my rant!

Pond5 could help us by taking sort by price away from the search options, I'm sure it is used more to find cheaper clips than expensive. If you market through other fixed priced sites that almost should dictate your price on P5, or set a price that gives you the same dollar amount per sale.
