Hello lovely ladies! Let me start off by saying that you gals rock! I'm really excited to see this thread on Pond5!

We've been producing spotlight videos highlighting some of Pond5's successful and interesting artists, but they're all about men! Eek! Unacceptable! I know we have just as many talented women out there and we want to feature you! I am female videographer as well ;) and before I was videographer I was overhead crane operator and Iater I was working on CNC machine (plasma cutting) and during that time I saw a lot of female working in a "men's job" as a crane operators, huge lorry drivers and so on... and they (women) were good
employees :D Me and my cat

The thing I love about the female shooters is that they typically have no ego and never brag about their successes. The stuff they shoot is awesome! I have worked with several women in the field as well as in the studio (tv) and they do know how to produce, shoot and create with, in many cases so much more finesse than us guys. Perhaps it is due to having more patience or simply because it is a different point of view. Either way, cheers and keep the great stuff coming.

I am a woman aspiring to become a videographer. I just uploaded my first test video. Any advice for a newbie? Anyone willing to become an email mentor that I can ask advice from?
