Yuri Arcurs - in the news, again!

And who do you think drew all the Disney Cartoons? It sure wasn't Walt Disney.

I can bet you that Yuri worked his butt off before he was able to hire people, and then he worked his butt off hiring people and training them and over seeing them, and not he is the equivelent of a CEO of his company and still works his Butt off I'm betting.

He was in the right place with the right idea and the right motivation and he succeeded big time. An inspiration to us all! Go Yuri! Oh, and what a cutie he is too! I may be an old married woman, but that doesn't mean we stop noticing those things. Bet that had a lot to do with him getting models in the first place, back when money was tight. ;-) I'm sure it didn't hurt.

I was making a clip in Juneau Alaska about a week ago and an older man came up and we were talking about changing times. When his wife came up she told me he was one of the artist that make the cells of Hammers Beer back when.

I admit, he is a good guy in what he does but he gets too much advertisement. I think it's time for us to stop advertising him.

Who cares, he is the face of stock photography. He is like the Johnny Knoxville of everyone making stupid stunt videos on youtube.

I have to say when I started in stock photos Yuri and another great photographer (Laurin Rinder) were there to help. They actually surprised me because here they were the top sellers, answering questions from a newbie like myself. They are good at what they do and part of their promoting themselves seems to me to be a way to help others succeed and that is a good thing.

Hopefully he manages his money well. Does he or did he whine in the microstock forums? Or pick fights with newcomers? Just wondering how he carries himself.

I don't think Yuri is very active anymore, if at all, in the forums. He also has a lot of people that shoot, keyword and do a lot of his work. He is now a businessman it seems like...
