Hey jake, Like I said .... I stopped sending until the queue goes down .... I hope it goes down and stays shorter as the Version 1 P5 is implimented more fully. I'm guessing site maintenance is taking a big part of the team at P5 and review is just getting a little behind. I put my emphasis on P5 for selling my clips over other places, I was hoping to catch up with the big boys as far as number of clips ... guess I'll just have to be a wanna-be ;)

"wanna-be"? Don, you are one of the big dogs.

I'm still trying to finish and upload the videos I shot 2 weeks ago. That keywording is the killer. Then copy and paste the keyworks from my spreadsheet to the server...
If someone could come up with a program or something that would embed keywords in the videos like photographs that would be worth a million....

I still have about 20 tapes sitting on my desk I havn't even got to yet. It's more fun shooting that sitting in front of a computer. I need to put more tag data in a speadsheet. For now I use MS Word and do a learch for main keywords to cut and paste into new clips as needed. I think excel might be a better way of doing it. That way each clip is archived with specific data. Oh so much to do and so little time. Now just need to get selling a few (lots) more here at P5.
I havn't tried it yet but it looks like Adobe Bridge CS3 has the ability to embed keywords and copyright notices onto clip just like it does with photos. Problem is to get the video stock agencies to extract the data like some do with photos. P5 Team ... what do ya'll think? Possible?

I tried it with CS3 bridge. It lets you put in the information but if you exit from that clip and go back in, it isn't saved. Someone once told me why video is different then the metadata in photos but I don't remember why now.

But I'm sure if it can be done, the P5 crew can do it, right?

Yes, we need more sales.

long queue time sucks :-(. I have been waiting to get my initial ones in. Only a week or so though, so I am not frustrated yet :-)

Normally the curating doesn't take that long is it?
I'm also waiting a few days to get an answer from the email I send to pond5.
Is P5 suddenly booming with uploads of clips?
ironstrike 13 May 2008 22:01
yes it is Jip :) Dont you remember the days when p5 would approve your clips within the same day. More people are just uploading. Tom Bennett and his minions aren't slackers, they always seem to be working. Although I think the curator should probably clean his/her desk...

Does anyone has a clue, where i'll get the info about overall count of online-clips? Old interface showed the clip-count easily.
