Pilotfly H1 if anyone is intersted

The duck walk!

It may not be the solution. More weight is to go. IMO
Is the Beholder company answer your question already?
They told me it cost $50 to ship to Germany (Wow! same day answer!)

Does it have screws to go back and forward or left and right on the plate mount to refine balancing??
maybe the camera is not balanced properly and the motors have to work to much to keep it balanced resulting in jitter??

Gh4 has a bad rolling shutter at 4k,even on micro fast movements...that jitter could be rolling shutter...
JHDT_Productions 9 Jun 2015 13:28
Yes could be rolling shutter and definitely could be the camera not fully balanced. When I get a chance I'll put more time and check that.
But I thought some of that was me shaking or whatever. So I took the human element and any movement out of the equation by setting the camera on the table with the stabilizer on. When viewing the video I can still see jitter in it so there is some minute amount of vibration.

May you need some sort of rubber padding between camera and the rig chassis to cancel the micro-vibrations affecting the sensor.
JHDT_Productions 9 Jun 2015 14:05
Hmm, interesting idea. That could do it.
The problem I see is the gyro motor is mounted in the sled that holds the camera. So that motor is directly below the camera.
Of course it could still be a balance thing but I can try some padding as well.

It would be interesting to know if you can balance the camera with motors off...in this way you know if the camera is well balanced...
BunFest 9 Jun 2015 15:44
The motor try to stabilize all the time / from time to time, even you put the whole set on the table. I "guess", it is just like my Panasonic FZ1000 camera (with stabilizer on) constantly stabilizing even I hold my camera very stable or on tripod. It is annoying. IMO

I think besides this problem, the Beholder is still a good holder to use for handheld video. This will be in my buying list.

Do you have another camera you could try on the Beholder, just in case there is a problem with the GH4
JHDT_Productions 9 Jun 2015 16:13
Not anything light enough.
I can't see it being the GH4 since there isn't any jitter using it on a tripod. Only when mounted on this gimbal.

I'll see if its something with the camera balancing but in all honesty, I'm pretty pleased with it.
Like I said I'll stabilize in AE which I would anyway simply to get out the walking motion so I'm not worried about it.
But I wanted to report this to you guys in case it is an issue with you.
