Here's the link to youtube. I didn't capture much of them. There was three of them. The third guy was behind me. I kept thinking the next thing I hear is "give me the camera and we won't hurt you"

I had 18 approved today! A few of them were taken last weekend so I guess the approval is random in what you have pending. I really don't care what order as long as they get online.
Here are two of my favorite from the Corpus Christi trip.

Jake, nice work, no wonder the laptop doesn't work, she wasn't very careful putting it down ;). What steadicam do you have?
NOT FAIR TOM!!! How does Jake get clips reviewed so fast ... could it be the pretty girl? Tom don't tell me you're a sexist beast ;) I have some real cute horses on some of my Corpus Christi clips the same weekend with Jake. Come-on P5, horses are cute ... not much into sheep though ;).
Just to punish P5 curators maybe I'll just have to send in some clips of me running on the beach ... a hairy creature indeed.
Don
.
p.s. Curators ..... yup some great bikini shots in mine but ya'll just have to approve all 70 of them to find them ;)

Hey Don,
Now now, don't be upset....... We still have to see which one of our Lexington superstructure clips sell first LOL
Delores said to tell you thanks for calling her a "girl". I don't know about you two.....
I have the steadytracker. Works pretty well but I'm still learning how to use it. It's not one of the ones with the vest so you have to hold it with your arm the entire time you're filming.

HAHAHHAHAHA That youtube video is the best!!! Hahahahhaa wow. All drunks are the same.
About the steadytracker... you were holding that thing while you were jogging backwards filming her? Good shot. I looked one up, and for $200 it seems like a neat thing.

Jake I'm just wondering what the next 15 seconds of Delores in the water is like ;).
. Oh Curators ... I have a number of clips of a nude beach ... all women and naked and signed releases from all 28 of the beautiful gals. Ya'll will just have to approve them to see .... amazing camera work if I don't say so ;)
.
So Jake the steadytracker is basically a long lower arm and weight that acts like a pendulum to reduce motion? I'm trying to visualize how it really works. Were you running backwards or just hand holding and using zoom and pan?

well, she wouldn't do what I asked so this is all I was able to capture......
I was running forward and holding it out with the camera turned kind of backwards so I would still see the LCD display and more importantly where I was going :-)
Not zooming. I did stop running at the end of the video and panned as she past me.
Once it's balanced to your camera, you hold it at the balance point then, it works as a kind of pendulum which dampens the movement of the camera.
it works on the same principle as if you hold a glass of water in your hand with your arm outstretched. the motion of your body is damped by your arm so you don't spill the water. (well almost)
You can do a quick test of how this works with your camera attached to your tripod. With the legs straight down, find the balance point. That is while holding the tripod horizontal while the camera is mounted, find the point where it is balanced and hold it there.
Then hold it out and walk.
Go to youtube and search on diy steadicam. You'll see what I'm talking about.
