Bruce (fract) you have like a full minute of text intro, gotta pick up the pace there by allot. You want to give the audience time to read it, but not lose interest waiting for the next thing to happen.

Bryan,
I got ya. I used that one as part of my fractal art show last year at Georgia Perimeter College. It was on one of ten DVDs I had running out in the lobby on their HD kiosk. How long do you think text should remain on a screen?

There is probably a written rule some place on how long it should be on screen. I would say a few seconds, long enough to read for a slow reader...
Next time you see a commercial on TV that has text watch how they do it and count. If it's a phone number it's usually on the screen a long time, or if it's a key point in a list of key points, but for things that are not that you will notice it's on there only a few seconds. Also with the way your text comes on it happens very slowly, so speed the whole thing up allot and see what you think. It takes some trial and error.
