CONTEST week 3 vote!

Ok guys and gals (are there any ladys here?)

Here is my votes:
It was very hard with more entries.

1st- bee on sunflower by Varius, I love macros and the way this one was framed was perfect.

2nd- if we could have a tie it would be
moth butterfly by Don and butterfly and bee by skylight.
Again, The close shots were done very well.

3rd- columbine kentucky by ironstrike. Love that DOF and bright green background.

LOL, no it was the real thing. And it did survive the shooting without any problems. Quite a sturdy little thing. The directions I gave was "and now you get an email from your girl saying you're an ex. You're really angry..." I had no idea what was coming - don't think I would have suggested that with a real laptop. ;-)

My vote:
1st: Blue bonnets fence - love the country feeling. :)
2nd: Butterfly & Bee - more action, better framing, but a bit soft.
3rd: Moth and wildflower - tack sharp, pretty cool.

Great minds think the same ..... oh ya ... that's right, we all had to shoot flowers ;). Good to see the entries picking up.

1st- Bluebonnets fence by road, great colors and contrast perfect.
2nd- Moth and bee, good timing to capture both bugs fighting over same flower.
3rd- Columbine, good use of DOF, shows you are using the camera instead of leting camera use you.

Good vids guys! I am not a big fan of flowers, so I didn't get one for this week. Next week comin up!

1. dons moth, (even though the main subject is a bug :P its really cool and colorful)
2. jakes blue bonnets (nice example of a GOOD static shot, a lot of times static shots are considered bad by some people because there isn't a whole lot of movement, but because its a peaceful setting the static shot helps convey serenity etc)
3. vader desert flower,( I like the part where you zoom out and you see the desert atmosphere with the lens flare etc. Although I probably would have manipulated the colors in post to make the flowers look more colorful lol!)

I'm back and should have time now. Was stuck up at 8,000 in a resort. To much time being having to climb mountains, swim, hot tub and view scenery. Is it time to start a new week and is time to comment on last weeks ... I don't even know what day it is ;)
