make available for free clip promotions

Hi everybody,
I've got some questions,

Is the free clip promotion option for temporarily promotions so that it is not for free all of the time or is it permanent (untill you check the option off offcourse)?

I thought it was temporarily but i noticed that one of my clips i marked as available for free has no sales but has got over 5000 adds to the cart.
auwwch!!! or can i still expect some sales of these cart adds?
I also noticed that there is no influence in the search results. i expected that this would bring my clips higher up in the search results.

It will be free for one week on the homepage, if it's in the free clip promotion section you'll get an email, asking you if they could use your clip for that.

I guess your clip with the high amount of ATC is the mum&son hugging, because it was the free clip of the week a few weeks ago

yes it is the mum & son hugging clip
i started doubting because of the high cart adds.
Seems a lot 5900 free copies, or is this a normal amount?
hope that this is a indication of sales to come...

This is normal for the free clip of the week. I wouldn't expect a sale from that clip, since it has been free for a week. When someone downloads this clip for free, you'll see an ATC

Your free status files can be also in other free promo campaigns like Holiday's Promo, then it can reach 9-10k ATCs. Dashboard showed for me over 4000 sales - but for 0$. Do not expect more real sales for this clip, but it's a good showcase for your whole portfolio.
