Viable Replacement for Photojpeg

To see what happens...I am uploading my files using .mov/H.264 100% Quality. In my screen the quality looks better since it is the native codec of my camera. Size is almost equivalent to uncompress .avi files or 1/4 the size of HD .mov/mJpeg 95% Quality files. That will save my a lot of bandwidth uploading costs and storage space.

Just to throw in my 10 cents worth: I have produced well over 50 commercials that aired on local stations here this year. Interestingly enough - all the networks actually wanted them delivered as mp4's (H.264). On another note, one might wonder why always Quicktime .mov's? I would speculate the simple answer is that those codecs are typically always available on just about any system and OS. Apple did a humdinger of a job in infiltrating the markets many many years ago. - If one introduces any alternative codec, even varieties of avi's - it is not guaranteed that all platforms have the specific codec and wrapper on hand. There is nothing like getting a call from someone that you just delivered files to and them telling you they can't read them or open them. I recently delivered a bunch of AVI's to a fellow that insisted on AVI's. He's on a PC using Vegas as am I. But I then suddenly remembered that I had converted the files using Neoscene. Hence, he had to go and download the codec from Cineform. So in reality - don't assume that because the extension says avi, mov, mp4 that all is simple and good. It is not. It really depends on the codec (wrapper as I like to call it) that was used to generate the final render.
