Price versus sales.

Like anything in the world, there is an optimum price to ask for a given product to achieve most sales for greatest profit. I've tried a range here of $10 to $75. Both have achieved sales. Obviously I'd like to stay on the high side. Where do others think the sweet spot is? Does it really have to do with content material? Micro sites like iStock and Shutterstock ask the same price per clip regardless of material subject or length. Thoughts?

Best was if Pond5 set prices (HD / SD / Multi media) otherwise
we end up with few cents per clip

According to P5 the average price of SD is $37.89 and for HD footage the average is $64.23. Look at the artist resources and best of week and best of month to get an idea of best selling footage. There are many threads talking about pricing already. Have a look at some of them and that will probably stop a conflict and argument here again. ;)

Depending on rarity and effort, I find that my footage does well at the $40 to $80 zone.
