do you have a way to do a keyword search? search by type of video camera?
I guess an advanced search option for specifics. etc... just helpful in my opinion.

Hi,
Keywords have always been searchable, but we’ve just now set it up so that description, clip source (ie camera model) and location are also searchable. And to search for a particular artist, you can use the format “artist:artistname”.
You can also use AND/OR between your search terms (AND is assumed by default), as well as an exclamation point (!) to designate NOT.
So for instance if you search for “mountains water” it will return only those clips that contain both terms. A search for “mountains OR water” will return clips that contain either term. And a search for “mountains !artist:shedli” will return all clips that contain the term mountain EXCEPT for clips by me (remove the exclamation point and it will return only clips by me).
We’ll be making all of this a lot simpler when we create our Advanced Search interface (and adding a lot of other ways to refine your search too), which is coming soon.
Remember that you can use the “+” sign to open the Find Footage box and limit your search to certain video formats (if you only want to search for HD, for instance, uncheck the other boxes).
best,
Tom

Hey,
I've got another thing that might be better.
Instead of search the artist, can't you make a subdomain (pond5.com/artist) for every artist?
Then you can easily look for artist.

This is a good idea - we're looking into it now, and should be able to implement it pretty soon.

That would be great! especially if it could be customizeable, (not that your look isn't great!) But I have just put up a stock site for still my still shots at smugmug.com and they have some great ways to alow users to cusomize.
mine is at www.worldviewimages.com

Ok, we've gone ahead and set this up. If you got to pond5.com/artist/artistname you will be taken to the artist page. So for instance
www.pond5.com/artist/videoopp will take you to videoopp's page.
Likewise, you can get to clips directly by typing in pond5.com/item/item# - like so:
pond5.com/item/53676
(it doesn't matter if you include the www or not).
We're finishing up a redesign of the artist page now, which will include more options for customization.
Keep the idees coming!
