L and R separately? Side by side 1920x 1080? Side x Side 3840x1080? L and R in one clip after each other?
Thoughts?

i think the best way to go is side by side format. it is the easiest for a video editor to work with, and they will want that format.

This was discussed in detail a year ago here. The final outcome ... no direction from P5 and no consensus from artists. Most 3D here and in stock so far are from GoPro so that is the software used most often. It will format it into all the various formats. Wish there was a standard but so far .... none.

Thanks.
I don't use GoPro - not future proof enough. All my 3D is from DSLR time-lapse, or broadcast standard cameras.
I asked a friend who's a pro 3D editor, and here's his reply:
"There's an argument for getting it straight out of camera (cleanest image), and an argument for having it delivered with geometry and colour fixed (ease of use). Depends whether your market is high-end professionals (first option) or enthusiasts / budget professionals (second). Either way the image should be two frames at least 1920x1080 - not the half resolution of SxS.
"Mild compression is acceptable for normal material - perhaps Prores 422, or DNxHD 175 - but greenscreen elements should either be uncompressed or pre-keyed to a very high standard and supplied with alphas.
Hope that helps"
So I'm inclined to fix geometry and color, then post Left, Right, and a SxS, all in ProRes 422. That way they're available in 2D, L and R for 3D, and SxS. I'd price the Left and Right the same, and the SxS at 50% more than either eye on its own.
But how do I upload 3 files like that so they're linked...?
Cheers!

although first i was considering left and right separate, I think it is better to upload side-by-side and red/green or red/blue
if you do left and right separate, and the files are associated together, there is no way for the buyer to know which clip is which, so he may buy the same side twice, or may not be able to find both sides if they are not associated together.
