Frame rates

Hi Guys

Does anyone think Pond5 should allow an "expanded" search to allow buyers to look for HD footage at different frame rates?

If I was producing something for broadcast I would ideally want material shot in the native frame rate that it will be transmitted in as a first choice.

Thoughts?

well ... I think if there are too many search criteria it makes it more difficult to describe / keyword with accurate information. I know frame rate is easy though. When too many search criteria is available it will lead to more keyword spam when artists try to game the system making their footage show up more often. I'm not sure if frame rate is a main criteria for most producers during a search. In most cases footage captured in 24, 25, 29.97, 30 or 60 fps can be easily converted to what the producer needs for his production. I do agree native frame rate is important just like native format such as interlaced versus progressive. I find that interlaced versus progressive makes little difference on the number of sales. I think frame rate would also see little difference.

Just add fps:25 or fps:30 or fps:25:30 to the search string and it will filter clips with this rounded frame rate.

Click the lamp near the search string in "my uploads" to see all the possibilities. These search terms also apply in the global search string.
