Pond5 partnering with AdRev?

Hi, so for the last couple of years I understood that registering music with Adrev while offering it on Pond5 was not the best idea, since the licensed music couldn’t be used for youtube monetizing.
I stumbled upon this article:

I couldn’t find anymore resources on that. It looks like due to the partnership it’s not a big deal anymore. Has anybody some information on that?
In the picture it appears that Pond5 detects when a song is registered with AdRev - how does that work?
