Hello,
I recently brought some music and I have uploaded onto YouTube. I now have a copyright claim. It was my belief that once purchasing music the individual licence would cover copyright

Hey Collective11415,
Thanks for writing in. As wideweb said, emailing support@pond5.com is going to be the best place to go with your video and claim information. In general though, here's how it works:
By purchasing files from our site, you are allowed to use them under our Royalty-Free License Agreement, which allows for worldwide, perpetual use across all media, including YouTube.
The composer or someone representing the composer has entered the music into the YouTube Content ID. The Content ID system is how YouTube keeps track of everything that's being uploaded. It prevents fraud, piracy, and people uploading content they have not purchased.
Pond5 requires our composers to release claims on any video(s) uploaded by Pond5 customers, so that our customers are freely able to monetize their videos, or show them without ads if they choose.
In order to get the claim cleared, the first thing you need to do is file a dispute since you do have the proper rights. The process is outlined on YouTube's site: Dispute a Content ID claim (https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/2797454?hl=en). You can also read our detailed post outlining the claim/dispute process: https://help.pond5.com/hc/en-us/articles/200944663-Youtube-Is-Not-Letting-Me-Use-Your-Media-in-My-Video
Rest assured, we are happy to reach out to the Content ID Company on your behalf. Please provide us the following information in an email to support@pond5.com to help us get started:
Transaction ID
Item ID
Link to your YouTube video (please make sure your video isn't private, unlisted is okay)
A screenshot or name of the company that made the claim
We'll be sure to take care of you as quickly as possible!
