4K FOOTAGE TO HD FOOTAGE

Hi Friends, i recently bought my dream camera, the Sony a 6600. now i can do footage for wildlife in 4k. QUESTION, if i want the same clip in HD and 4k, should i shoot each differently or is it better to shoot 4k, keep a copy, then downgrade the same shot to HD and upload as such? which is the better way to go about it?

upload 4k and pond5 automatically downsizes it to HD

thank you JHDT. I didn't know that. so i shoot everything in 4k, upload in 4k, then the rest is up to pond 5. that works good.
