can't edit my profile

Hi. Im new here and I'm trying to edit my profile to include a picture, and curate my front page a bit. It lets me edit the bio portion, but that's it. I don't see anyway to create a front page like the ones they show, with a picture, and a top line image, and top 6 clips.
Can anyone give advice on what I may be missing?
