Crowd shots

I do a bunch of work filming outdoor events such as races and festivals. I have a bunch of footage of crowds that looks kinda cool. Some of them are thousands of people. I was wondering if any of you have had an issue with uploading crowd footage to pond5. I don't have releases for the crowd, I mean that would be crazy. Also they aren't acting or doing anything except appearing in a public event. It's never been a problem using crowd footage for other commercial projects, I was just wondering how pond5 handles said footage. Thank y'all, keep up the good work.

If you have recognizable faces, you can still use them as editorial clips. Just click off the "yes" box in the editing mode where it asks you if the clips contains recognizable faces, logos, brands, etc.. You don't need a release for that. Technically you do need a model release if any face is recognizable....you'll get that one guy who was off cheating on his wife with his mistress at a public event, and you captured him on film. He'll sue you and Pond 5 for ruining his marriage..lol Stranger things have happened.
