Music licensing business is dead. Market is saturated.

Unfortunately Pond5 has grown too big. The whole music licensing market is saturated and therefore chances of getting a song licensed either here or anywhere these days are pretty slim no matter how many tracks you have up and with whom. 20 years ago i was licensing plenty of songs and over the years have had placements on 967 episodes of TV shows placed by various licensing companies and i used to license at least 5 to 6 direct licenses a year here on Pond5. Those days are gone. Not saying that with a lot of hard work it cant be done but its almost not worth it anymore. A lot of these companies have gone to the "subscription model" which is horrible for us musicians as our music is basically given away and compensation is just pennies. Im only speaking from my experience. Results may vary ;)
