Seasonal / Topical Marketing by Pond5...a mini rant

For my first submissions to Pond5, I spent some effort to render out firework graphics last month, in time for people making July 4th promos and commercials.

I even flagged a bunch to be featured as a free clip. I emailed support and suggested that they run a promo on July 4th-related materials in the hopes of driving traffic to my clips.
So now it's the week of July 4th and the Pond5 splash page has the same generic clips with no tie-in to any holiday or season. My hopes to cash in on people trying to make last minute sale promos, etc. have been dashed.
Aside from my selfish reasons, don't you think Pond5 could drive a bunch of sales if they just paid attention to what's hot and topical at the moment?
For instance, they could do something fun like featuring the images of summer like bbq's, beaches, and of course, fireworks.
Anyways, I love Pond5 as a buyer...I do special effects for commercials and Pond5 has saved my butt many, many times. Hope they take this constructive criticism and make the site even better!

If I may... I think if you're going to consider seasonal or other promotions of significance - then they should be well thought-out and planned "VERY" far in advance.
For instance most "production work" for the 4th promotions on TV or even the Web were most likely "in the can" by May 31st. Running a themed collection a week before the holiday, is a bit late IMHO.
