can I buy items using my earnings?

I have sold some of my audio here on pond5 and i have some credit that is tranferred by paypal.
can I use my account balance it during checkout to purchase some items i'm interested into?

My understanding is that for tax reasons you are not allowed to do this, you would have to get a payment to Paypal and then use this money to buy the items you wanted. You cannot do it with going "outside" of Pond5.

TheEngineer is right.

You have to get paid by us first, and THEN you are able to use that toward your purchases, due to the way that PayPal (and our other payment methods) do their transactions.

Well, he's partially right... There is no tax issue preventing it. If that was the case, then other agencies would stop doing it. Most of the agencies allow you to use your earning to make purchases which is why I rarely purchase anything here. Why go through PayPal when I can just convert earnings to credits on Revostock, Dreamstime, Envato and a dozen other agencies? Even Shutterstock is adding this feature.

From all of the changes around here, I'd guess that Pond5 lost their programmer(s) and hired designers instead.

There are hints in the current payment / checkout system that the feature is been/has been in the works for over a year.

I would definitely buy more here if I had that convenient option.
