Hey guys,
Most of my hurricane clips are online.
Sorry, no real drama type videos since there was curfew during the part of the storm that was kind of safe to venture out so I could only get clips from around my apartment.
I was going to do a "CNN reporter in the rain" clip for Don but time got away from me.

Looks like the trees in your videos fell in a save direction, none through the middle of houses or cars. Darn I was hoping to see ya knee deep in a flood with sheets of tin or steel flying by. Glad you're getting back to almost normal and no permanent damage to any of you property.

Yeah, the tree that fell outside my apartment was the only shade to my balcony, I'm going to miss that one.
It fell across 3 parking spaces that are usually filled. Good thing no one parked there.
Of course that would have been some good video of a squashed car. (as long as it wasn't mine)
I have another video that is pending of Delores trying to walk across the parking lot with an umbrella, a gust of wind came up and I thought she was going airborne.
Disclaimer:
No girlfriends were hurt during the filming of said scenes

good footage. how did you get your driving footage so smooth? i've tried filming out of a car window using a tripod before and it was really shaky.

Don't know what Jake uses but I have a suck cup camera mount that easily support the XH-A1. Much more steady mounting to car door than side window.

Not as high tech as Don's rig.
I was sitting in the passenger seat with a small tripod. I had my hand resting on the top of the camera to kind of dampen the bumps.

One last photo.
One thing I wanted during the power outage was a hot cup of coffee.
I remembered I had this lab kit I used as a prop. the alcohol burner came in handy to heat up some water for the instant coffee.

No, I didn't think to do any video, everything was light by candle or flashlight so it was very dim.
But I can certainly recreate the scene to do something for stock.
Yes, we had all the basics.
If this would have been worse in my area, I could have gotten a couple of cases of MRE's like after Katrina. LOL
