How do people get any views at all on this website?

Hi. I'm new here but I've sold footage elsewhere and have had thousands of views on my footage normally. Granted it is drone footage that is 4K nature stuff mostly and we all know how oversaturated that area is. Nonetheless you'd think someone would have viewed something by now but all 50 odd pieces of my footage still have zero views despite accurate descriptions and good metadata.

Am I doing something wrong or is this the state of things right now? Here are a few random examples of my work just in case someone wants to take pity on me and give me at least one view.

Hi,

With only 50 clips, you’re competing against a library of over 35 million videos! To stand out, you’ll need a much larger portfolio. Since you joined recently, remember that it can take at least six months for some clips to start getting views. Patience and frequent uploads are key. Also, the number of views doesn’t necessarily correlate with sales.

Wishing you success,

Thanks David. I have much more to upload and shoot and wasn't expecting to sell anything for a long time just thought I'd get a few views at least over this time. If I upload a blank video to youtube I have 25 in no time. I guess this isn't YouTube though so fair enough. I'll soldier on and be patient and keep uploadin. Thanks for the reply :)

why not to use YouTube to promote your portfolio? you may have more views!

Views are correlated but not perfectly with sales. Some clips you will get looky loos and even bin ads but no bites. Then you wake up and something has sold and presumably the whole team has been poking it because then it suddenly has 20 views.
