Alpha Included

I know I have embedded an alpha thru AE with the animation codec before.

When you click the format box to chose the codec (animation), make sure you choose "millions of colors +" there, as well as in the output module of AE. You should then be able to out put RGB+Alpha in main module window, millions of colors +, and staight or Premultiplied (I usually use straight)

Finally I got it! What sizes you have for hd1080 15s clips using animation codecs? And what quality you use?

File sizes for 22s clips with many details in object are around 1.7-1.9 GB. And size of the file does not change much changing quality from 75% to 99%

File size for 15s clip with less details is around 500MB so practically will not be recejted by P5.

I haven't used the animation codec at all here, I did not know it was an acceptable format. If Pond5 prefers the alpha embedded with the animation or PNG codec, they should post that on the FAQs, and the page about footage specifications. I have been doing a matte in a separate file, and attaching it.

In Curator's queue there is my new clip of growing and opening Minerva Christmas Amaryllis with ALPHA embedded. Using Animation codec the size of 15s clip is a little more than 300MB with rendering quality 99%.

Can somebody on P5 check if it is OK?

I uploaded another clip with embedded ALPHA using Animation codecs, but it was rejected by the server as illegal format. This clip now sits in my 'Not processed' folder. Can somebody on P5 check what is wrong here?

Just add it to the end. This seems to be an industry-standard and acceptable procedure everywhere, and any experienced editor who buys the clip should know what to do with it.

Yes, I uploaded another version with alpha matte at the end of the clip and now it is in curators review queue. I'll forget embedding alpha channel and using animation codecs.
