Has Pond5 been shut down?

PROOF OF LIFE FOUND!!!

With approximately 730 videos at 'pending review' for weeks, I had given up hope. But on 2/26/2026, I received some review notices from Pond5!

7 items were approved
5 rejected
89 returned (flagged 'editorial')
===
101 items / 731 pending = 13.8% of my review queue.

MAKING PROGRESS!! POND5 IS STILL IN BUSINESS!

Yeah there was a post a few weeks ago about this, Pond5 has lost all their review staff so it's taking much longer and a lot more rejections, I think they are using staff from Shutterstock at this time so long waits are the new normal.

I've had more videos reviewed today! THEY ARE ALIVE!!!

Any sales though? Not me. It is dead nowadays.

Why do you post this at the top of the main forum that everyone sees, and not at the bottom in artist only?
I would guess this kind of thing is not going to help anyone's sales, to speculate at the top of the forum, that the site is shut down.

If a company is out of business, you aren't going to get paid, and the buyer will lose any money they pay. I explained all of the evidence that they are closed in the post. Not sure why you think a bankruptcy would only affect artists, perhaps you've never dealt with one before

A1ExclusiveFootage -

Yes, I've been getting about 1 per month but I'll have tripled my inventory when my pendings clear.

I have no clue what you are on about, you seem confused.

What I am saying is when you started this topic, you should have done it in the bottom of the forum, in the artist only section of this website.

Here is why I feel that way... This topic, posted in this section, has the potential to make shoppers go shop on another site.

I hope this is not coming across as mean, it is not meant that way, I am just trying to make it clear, because you didn't seem to understand it when you said.

I am not talking about a bankruptcy, or a closing site, or any of this. Nor do I care at all what anyone has written in this thread, I just think that the entire thread should be removed because of how it looks. Also why is anyone taking part in this at the top of the main forum page except to say it is still open? It is hard enough to make money these days in stock footage, without someone making a site that is up and running look closed. It is a real double edged sword that this forum receives next to zero moderation ever.

this thread affects negative possible buyers. i agree @bryanbush. it should be removed from this section.

I wouldn't think buyers are reading Pond5 Forums. Why would they even care? They are barely logging on to buy our clips. I think this thread is informative and gives us a chance to share experiences.
