Weather protection for FX1000

I like the hamster idea, I can't wait to get a camera. You guys get to do all the fun stuff like leaving the house and putting small vermin in bags.

Can I get a watermellon flavored cover for my camera?

lol I once put my cam in an underwater housing unit so I could record in the rain, also Ive put it a fishtank on top of it before.

I have a clear glass filter and a screw-in wide angle sunshield for my cam (quite expensive at 82mm) and I just duct-tape a large transparent plastic bag around it. I can still see the display through the bag and use almost all controls that way. Rack focus is a bit clumsy because the bag tends to get stuck when turning the focus ring, but everything else works fine.

Don't forget to dry everything before you get the cam out though.
