Hey Guys,
I just wanted to share my new blog post. I have always had no trouble finding microstock photography blog with statistics and stuff, but never could find microstock video blogs with stats and info. So, I thought what the hay, I'll just make my own and share my info with others who might find it interesting. Let me know what you think if you have a second to look or if there is anything else you would like to see on there!

Thanks!

Very nice and good to see. I did a write up last year comparing a couple of sites. Having been new to the stock footage on the internet, my focus was ease of use, fairness etc... http://blog.vadervideo.com/2008/03/reviewvideo-stock-footage-sites-for.html and then http://blog.vadervideo.com/2008/04/pond5com-debuts-at-nab-2008.html

I think you hit the nail on the head as far as income and profit comparing P5 to other sites. The big part is "currently" no downsizing to cheap web clips. Buyers will buy the full HD instead of the SD or web version. I would opt out of every sites downsize versions if possible. Volume will not increase bottom line at the expense of cheaper downsized footage. I believe most people who use the same sites you do have the same bottomline. Pond5 is best; easy to navigate, great quantity selection (one of the top dogs now) and no downsizing. I hope if they do go the downsize direction it is only bundled with a full size purchase.
Great stats, thanks.

Does anyone know the % difference in sales between CGI and live action video, I get the feeling CGI outsells live action.

Many believe that the number of sales is more important than the bottom line.. That's crazy, the only thing that matters is a consistent bottom line profit. Well done.
