10 Downing Street (with iconic doorway)

Hi, I'm looking for an establishing shot of 10 Downing Street (with the iconic doorway) shot on 35mm, 2k or 4k to license for a feature film. We're looking for a contemporary shot, during the day or magic hour. So far I've seen footage outside the gates, or footage inside the security gates that has been shot on HD or 16mm (newsreel style). The shot we're looking for is within the security gates, including the iconic No. 10 doorway. Thank you.

Downing Street is a high security area, so only security vetted journos and crew get in there. It's been that way since 1989 when the gates went up and the embedded anti-vehicle barrier went in as a result of the IRA attacks that were happening at that time. Unless a vetted news camera op with 4k kit who happens to be on the newsroom Downing Street rota is a contributor here I don't think you'll find what you need.

Your best bet at the resolutions you're looking for might be Granada Studios in Manchester as they have an exact mock-up that is used for doco and drama filming. Price might be your obstacle via this route, of course.

Paul.

Paul, thank you for your post. I will check out Granada Studios in Manchester.

I actually found an establishing shot of 10 Downing Street at the British Film Institute on 35mm film, however we're looking for something even wider. Given the restrictions you described, sounds like a wider shot is unlikely. There is also a location on John Adam Street that has doubled as 10 Downing Street in other projects, but I understand it's extremely expensive.

It can't hurt to ask though, so I was hoping that someone with a 4k kit happened to shoot some footage that I may be able to license. Thanks again for your suggestion.
