How does one get exposure?

It seems futile to gain any exposure in the Pond, as there are so many tracks. How does one get exposure?
I have this one track that I believe would get a lot more sales if it was heard by people in the business. I have looked at other tracks in a similar subject/style, and I honestly think my track is very good in comparison. There are authors who have a name and reputation, who have worked in the business and perhaps had big projects with film and television--I'm a nobody. My track is just as good I believe. But so far is has merely 2 views and probably from my family members lol

it sounds good.
what symphonic and choral libraries did u use?
u'll get more views now that u posted it, but from curious ppl like me, that are not buyers :D
i have about 200 clips that havent got a single view.
some of them, maybe half, are on p5 since last october (2013).
so beats me....i wish i knew how (to direct the views).

Thanks! I know Michael a little bit. I will try to connect with him more.
Thanks for the compliment of my track.
You do have some good stuff yourself!
Using mainly East West Symphony Gold, and Micro Choirs by Sound Iron. Any other stuff is just free stuff that I used for layering. I used the plugin by Camel audio called CamelPhat on the percussion.

just found this officially: the more sales you have, the more you go up in the search results, meaning the even more sales you'll get.
so sales do bring up more sales:
"As for sales going up when you make more sales - this is true for a number of reasons. Partly because yes, buyers see that a clip has sold x amount of times. But also because the more sales an artist has, the more likely they are to show up in search results."
(mail asnwer from p5)

If you want to be a professional composer, -evaluate- platforms like Pond5; if they break the law or your copyrights or you discover any schemes, either stick around the practical joke or delete your account.
My best advice to composers out there: build a site on your own terms, storage capacity is much cheaper nowadays. I know it's difficult, and it may even cost something, but it will pay off in the long term.
