Well, did you guys get the email? They must of been following our posts about raising the prices since they are now authorizing a minimum of $15 for all music tracks. What do you guys think?

YEAAAH!!! Finally, some hope for the music media industry!

Yep, just got it today. Great move Pond5!!! You guys are awesome. Now, please consider multiple tier licensing as your next change :)

Really happy about it too! Now, if they could add a second type of licence, some kind of "premium" or "extended" licence for big-budget projects, like commercials, trailers, movies, that would be perfect!

But that new minimum price is definately great.

This is great news, next thing is introducing different tier licenses, because at the moment when someone buys music on P5 they can use it wherever they want as much as they want.

Finally, some hope glimmers in the stock audio world. and I agree with the multi tier licensing. But one step at a time fellas.

Yeah! Good news! Hoping for "extended" licenses as the next step, too! Have a good day, everyone!

blazznet, i dont agree with pricing under 15, no matter what the clip is about.
if it's music, and by music i mean successive notes that sound pleasantly (not happy,
but harmonious nonetheless), they should qualify as music, be they 5 seconds long
or 5 minutes.

also, i would say that its better to upload your edits as separate entries, and not
put them all in the same page, as in the example you gave.

separate edits index better at search and give you more exposure when someone is searching.

additionally, you can add links in the description of the original file to the entries
of the edits (and in the edits' description links to the original)
