regional footage

finally got some video from a louisiana crawfish boil up!!
there was really nothing with crawfish on pond5... so i thought i'd try it out...

just wanted to see what everyone's opinion on shooting regional footage is...

regional, local, national, international ... they all sell well, none any more than an other. Don't try to guess what sells best and focus on that. Most of what I consider my best has never sold and some of what I consider lowest in demand has multiple sales. Focus on quality but quantity of good quality is what sells. Good luck.

p.s. Don't forget to scrape the oil scum off before eating ;)

phantomewo: well, i'm an editor first.. and busy raising a couple of kids, so for now i just shoot what's going on around me if i think about it.. i was just curious...
and crawfish don't come out of the gulf, they're freshwater... so should be oil free.... they were really good that day :)

wideweb: i should go get the production side to crawfish here in louisiana... bet it'd be quite different.. some people have their own ponds or know others that do... i should raise my prices too! ;)

I think regional/local specific/site specific is the second best option: you are in an almost unique position to shoot things others hardly could or not at all. For example, who could come (and for what price) to Bucharest and shoot People's Palace except for Romanian shooter or occasional traveler???

Please do not ask me which the first best option.
