Uploading Vectors - Zip Workflow?

Most agencies have you submit vectors in this format:
file-name.jpg
file-name.eps
I see pond5 asks that we zip both of those files into their own zip archive? Or will simply uploading the above two files work?
Another question - does it read meta-data from the archived jpeg or do I have to put it in all over again?
Lastly, if I am required to re-meta-data all of those files, can I just upload the jpeg versions and skip the eps? I have thousands of vectors.
Thank you very much.

This variation of the process is new to me, I have to append a question to my question :D
If I upload these as FTP, will it auto-recognize the intent to make these vector products?
