What kind of FTP upload issues?
It happens that some of the servers too busy and than is slower upload. There are 4 (ftp.pond5.com, ftp2.pond5.com, ftp3.pond5.com or ftp4.pond5.com). Use a server with the least load at that moment ...

I switched to a different one and it works now.
