Sales versus views

I've been on Pond5 for about 6 weeks now and am pleased with the site and support and review times.
Big improvement on the other main site I'm selling on...
I'm up to 600 views approx and have managed to rise to a ratio of my sales being 2.3% of my views at the moment.
I'm heading in the right direction I feel with lots of social media promotion and a couple of paid adverts.
Can anyone cast any light on what ratio of views should be transforming into sales?
Thanks,
WoodmillProductions

in only 6 weeks you already got 600 views with 123 files?
that is cool :D
the ration i think depends a lot on the prices you have.
depending on price, different people will have different conversion ratios.
for me, for example, in the case of sfx, i usually had an add to cart at about 8-13 views (let's say 11).
further, i had an actual sale at about 3-4 adds to cart.
my estimating went like this: i have for example 500 views in a week. that means 500 / 11 = 45 adds to cart. that translates to about 45 x 0.3 = 13.5 actual sales. so i would expect in that week about 13 sales (somewhere around 10 and 15). i noticed this did apply often times, but not all the time.
but this was because i have my sfx at $10. for someone that has them at $3 the estimation would differ, because more people will tend to add to cart and from those who do the cart, more will actually buy. if you have the sfx at $30, obviously less people who view it will add it and less will actually end up buying.
but checking your percentage and comparing to my example, i see we have appx the same estimation, 2-3%
