sound/picture syncing during editing.

Jambo all!

I use Adobe CS3 for editing. ever since i started shooting HDs, i have had this problem of sound being left behind as the timeline progresses. at first it is ok. but i lose sync at about 4rth minute and at the end of, say 20th minute on the timeline, the sync is completely off. what am i missing? it never happens when am editing SD. someone please help?

It might have something to do with non drop frame and drop frame. Try changing the sequence to the opposite of what it is, you'll notice your timecode will go from : to ; or the other way around, depending on which you are in.
