Would the light from a light saber be illegal to film?

I know that usually Lucasfilm just freaks out when the handle or hilt of a lightsaber is imitated, but if it was dark besides the actual saber, would that be sellable?

I think the light is an After Effects thing and not really filmed?
Or are you saying you have a real light saber in which case I would put it on Ebay as it would be worth millions.
But to answer your question, if you have a mockup of a light saber that looked close to the actual Star Wars prop, I think they would have a problem with that.

Sweet. My husband's having a Star Wars game at our house all weekend so I told all his friends to bring their light sabers! I figured if it was done in the dark, so only the light was visible, not the hilt, it would be allowable.
