Creating Clip Bins

Hello,

I'm new on P5 and have a couple of questions on how the Artist Clip Bins work. I've been uploading footage and would like to organize footage in bins, making my bins available on my Artists page and some available in Public Bins.

I do see a button on each clip page to add to bin, but that seems to be part of the shopping cart. I searched the forums, but the links mentioned to make artist clip bins seem to no longer be current.

How do I create a new clip bin for my artist's page and add my shots to it?

How do I make a clip bin public so it displays in the Public Clip Bins section?

I'm sure I am being a newbie and not seeing an obvious link somewhere. Thanks

You can create clip bins at the moment, but I have just spent ages looking for the Clip Bins Admin page which I know used to exist, but I can't find it - so that facility seems to be unavailable at the moment. That's where you make Bins publicly viewable.

To create bins, click New Bin on the footer bar, name and press Create. Multiple Bins can be set up.

Select the Bin you want to add clips to using the drop down list on the footer bar, and press Add to Bin for as many clips as you want. This Bin remains selected until you choose another one.

You can bulk add clips to a Bin by using the check boxes on the My Uploads page and Add to Bin on the drop down menu.

You make a bin public by going to the edit page of the bin and in the upper right corner you will see a small check box that says "Public bin"

I took the buttons on the bar navigator at the bottom of the page to be a part of the shopping cart functionality, since Clip Bins can also be made by shoppers that haven't logged in.

Perhaps it's a matter of nomenclature. The clip bins for artists are more like Mini Portfolios, whereas the clip bin for a customer seems to be something they would use while shopping.

Now that you've enlightened me to the resources on that bar navigator, I did find a toggle in the Share button that can change a bin from Public to Private. Perhaps this has replaced the Clips Bins Admin page?

Ah yes and I see the check box in the corner of the bin to make it public. Thanks, I sure appreciate the help.

Edit button? Errr.... Oh yeah, I see it now. Doh! I'm sure this used to be a selection on the drop down menu at the top of page. Time to edit a post elsewhere.
