Default Camera

Since we all probably use mostly the same camera when shooting footage, can't there be a way to have that field in the submission form automatically be filled-in with the camera type as defined in our profile, perhaps?

If producers mostly do computer generated work, then that could be their camera type.

Thoughts? That'd be one less field to fill out when submitting clips, and I'm all for less work.

I have camera types / models / formats etc configued in templates. For footage one camera and for time-lapse few other cameras I use. It worked OK so far.

Same here. I have two templates for my fX1 with camera name and interlaced selected and the 5D with the camera name and progressive scan checked.

That works for me.

So, you apply a "camera" template, then either another "keyword" template before you submit?

In a related question, what if you apply multiple templates with keywords? Do the keywords overwrite the previous set, or add to them?

I don't know about using keywords in templates. I don't submit much that would have exactly the same keywords in mulitple videos to create a template with that.
From the edit page I just select all the clips with the same camera and click to apply video template.

Oh, I also have the price in the template as well. Once the template is applied then i go back to each clip and edit keywords etc.

I have a camera type in each of ~10 templates I use often.
You can add from template keywords only if you check a 'Add keywords, don't overwrite' checkbox in clip edit page.

If i have a fresh batch of clips i edit the template. With location camera type etc.

I'm adding the keywords and description always individually. Also things like zoom, handheld medium shot etc are filled in individually.
