I have been using blooms settings, and have about 100 clips shot with it.
In post I am using premiere CS4, and using color correction RGB curves with which I put a slight S shape curve into it.
These settings mentioned in the previous page post look interesting,
it maybe around the same result straight out of the camera. I will have to do some tests... Thanks for the info.

I like your videos too, but I don't think Bloom is correct, I think Shane is correct about the contrast. I mean I agree with Shane that it is better to have the camera set to contrast 0.

Thanks,
Yes, I think you are right! after reading some more articles and looking at most peoples personal settings for common situations, it seems most have gone for the contrast at 0 or -1
I will give these setting a try over the weekend.
Blooms setting were just the only ones I read about at that time.
It looks like Shane has done some real research and compared with raw.
I have the feeling it may breath a little life back into a flat result and save me some extra post correction.
Thanks for that article, always happy to read good info.
I will go with these settings:
Sharpness 0
Contrast 0 or -1 see how it looks
Saturation -1
Color 0
With Saturation I see that this depends on the lens also, I am using a Tamron 17-50 VC so I will try -1 and if too Contrasty I will use -2, apparently the Canon L and EF lenses need -2

Yep can confirm the contrast at 0 or -1 is good, just took 2 samples one at Bloom setting and the other at the above settings. Definite difference, color is good, a bit more life put back into it.
