Cleared for Sampling

When I upload a song or composition and add tag words and a description to it, et cetera, if there was no other party involved in the making of this piece, then what answer should I put where it says, "Cleared for Sampling"? If I answer "yes", does that mean that I used some music or sound from a third party and have had to get their permission to use it in my piece? Thanks!

Hi Julie - Yes - If you have used a sample of someone else work within your own, then you have to confirm that your use of the sample(s) has been 'cleared' by the owner. Regards!

wait what? I thought that cleared for sampling meant the person who purchases the track can sample it.

Hey guys,
To clear up any confusion, "cleared for sampling" means that you're allowing your track to be used in the creation of a new musical work. Essentially, you're giving the buyer the rights to sample your track in their own music.
Hope this helps!

So, if I have initially designated my tracks as NOT cleared for sampling and I'd like to change that, how is that done? There seems to be no way of doing that.
