Hello composers of Pond 5 - Im pretty new here and notice a lot of you manage to get sales (some names I see all the time in 'last audio sold' section) - Can anyone of you enlighten me as to how I can drive traffic to my page here and get sales?? Any advice from you seasoned composers would be much appreciated. Thank you

not in a particular order:
1) stop looking at other people's sales
2) do the music you like (not the one is 'asked' for) - clients will come
3) use the maximum of tags (currently, 50)
4) upload pretty much regularly (constantly)
5) if you want it to pay like a job, treat it like a job (do it 'full time', if u are able)
6) don't concentrate on bringing traffic (other than filling the tags/description), concentrate on putting the work
7) have patience
8) prepare for discouragement
9) don't give up
10) don't give up
11) don't give up
12) don't give up
13) don't give up
...
(etc.)

That is great advice. I humbly suggest expanding 2) do the music you like. I think it's helpful to know what music is in demand and look for areas where your strengths overlap.
So if you're really great at and enjoy writing polka, metal and happy ukulele music, it'd be good to know which one of those is in highest demand, or no demand at all.

Great advice! As for number 6 - won't sharing the link to your artist's page help a lot?
