Batch convert EX-1 MP4's to .MOV?

I have thousands of clips shot with a Sony PMW-EX1 from around the world. But it's time consuming to go through them all and transcode them into quicktime. Does anyone know of a way to batch convert them all to quicktime? Then I can browse through them quickly and edit/upload good shots without having to convert them one-by-one.

You did not mention if you are using PC or MAC. On the PC I use MPEGstreamclip (free) and you can also buy Xilisoft Video Converter Ultimate.

Can Premiere not directly edit these files?

Are you asking me, Scott? To be on the safe side, one needs to get a short clip from the PMW-EX1 and test it.

MPEG streamclip works on the Mac too. It's free and does great with batch work.
