keyword variation

Can I/should I use plural variants on all my keywords?
For example; boat/boats, assuming there is more than one boat in the shot. Will the search engine find boats if I only use boat?

No, Pond5 (and more other sites) already take that into account. Use the singular variant and you'll be fine.
