Corrupt video previews

Hi, not sure if anyone else experiences this on their system but P5 video previews are corrupt during play back as if they were poorly compressed and show general corruption and purple blocks. It occurs with all videos on P5 playing on my system.

I have updated my nvidia gfx drivers and i have updated adobe flash as well. The problem occurs only with P5 and with both IE and FireFox.

Hi Vision,

In what way are they corrupt?

Initially, all previews are kinda "draft". After a few days P5 produces the final previews. I looked at your portfolio and the previews looked normal.

Can you provide a link to a clip with bad preview?

Hi wideweb, sorry i didnt explain myself very well. Its all video that displays corrupt not just mine, so im thinking that there is something wrong with my system. But the confusing thing is it only effects P5 video previews. All other sites i submit to are fine.

This is what it always looks like.

Interesting. I went to that same page and I do not see the problem. What version of Flash Player installed on your computer?

Hi, thanks yes I did appear to have an outdated flash player, i just updated to version 10 and videos in both IE and Firefox appear to be playing well again. In the end i had to update through IE as the mozilla add-on for updating flash wasnt working for some reason.

Hi. Do you remember exactly what version you were on earlier? The video is started by javascript and we could add a check that if the offending version is used the site displays a warning.

Unless there is a way for me to check version history i have no way of knowing. All i know is that the adobe downloader said that my version was outdated. I also did a fresh format and install of everything around december 2009 so it wasnt that old a version of flash that was previously installed if thats any help.
