keywording and default sorting

several things:
1. I have read around on the forums about how there is a 25 word limit on keywords and how if you have more, it puts your clips further behind in search results. Is this true? I can't seem to find anything official on this.
2. Some posts talk about top 5 keywords being listed first on your keyword list. Is this true too? I feel like all this info should be on the seller faq page.
3. I've been reading that default sorting is based on a "secret sauce formula." I've been on Pond 5 now since May and have about 200 clips up. I've had a few sales now, but not as much as I wish. When I search for my clips, I noticed they are always literally at the end of the search results. Is that how the secret formula treats new videos? I don't see a way of getting more sales especially for new contributors if this is the case. What's a new contributor to do? :)

Keep uploading. I've been here since the start of P5. From what I gather the top five keywords are no longer, all keywords have same priority. I liked the top five because it made me be more careful on avoiding spam and using filler words and it was easy to review The limit of 25 has been raised to about 50 so that is far more than is needed IMHO. I have not heard about if using more than 25 it lowered your search priority, if so that is new to me.
The priority is a secret formula based on sales etc. It is not unusual for me to have most of my clips near the middle or end also. It's just the way it is.
If you have only been here since May and only 200 clips you are actually doing good to have sales already. With over three quarter of a million video clips 200 is such a small percentage. I once had 15 percent of P5 videos, with nearly 6,000 I'm a very small percentage now also. Work on quality and sales will come. Stock is not a get rich quick business, only a relatively few of the artist can actually make a living on stock. Patience is really needed.

For me it was a bit different. The number of fractals and fractal generated flames is very small in relation to the number of recordings made by video cameras. My stuff always went right to the forefront of a search for "fractal" under all the resolutions, AE projects (which I don't do), and audio. It could have been I was uploading batches of 240 at a time every couple of weeks. According to my last search for my own work I could find a strong representation on literally the first 10 to 15 pages when sorted by date, artist, and at first by default settings.
That was my personal observation. This may not be the case for other people.
