What does "Make this Item Available for Free Clip Promotions" mean.

Every week or so, I get an e-mail from Pond5 saying that there is a stock clip available for free. The free clips are sometimes interesting to me, but I haven't needed anything like them for the work I do.
I assume that checking the "Make this Item Available for Free Clip Promotions" box means that you are willing to let Pond5 give that clip away in one of these weekly promotion e-mails. I've not seen an explanation, but that's the two-plus-two that I've put together.
